Tangerine Tanghulu (2023)

To help cut down on tangerine waste, I organized a fundraising booth at Spring Tidings that turned leftover tangerines into tangerine tanghulu (sugar-coated fruit). Since tanghulu had become a big trend among younger people, we figured it'd be a great way to reduce food waste while raising money for the local community.
To get ready, we made the tangerine tanghulu ourselves, along with homemade tangerine jam and dalgona (traditional Korean sugar candy). Between the teamwork and prep, we raised more than $800, all of which we donated to House of Angels, a local orphanage, to support children's education.
