I received the Encouragement Award in the Middle and High School Division of the KT K-AI Contents Award, an AI competition themed "Creating a Happy World with AI." The competition required participants to design an AI-generated poster that demonstrated artistic creativity, prompt engineering skills, and an understanding of AI ethics.

To develop my poster, I spent more than five hours researching AI ethics, particularly the growing issue of unauthorized copying in AI-generated content. After reading articles and watching educational videos, I recognized that AI plagiarism had become a significant issue, especially in education. Based on this research, I designed a poster that used the contrasting imagery of heaven and hell to illustrate the ethical choice between originality and unauthorized copying.

The poster was divided into two contrasting halves. On the left, a devil surrounded by fire and smoke, accompanied by "Ctrl + C" and "Ctrl + V" symbols, represented the temptation to copy AI-generated content without original thought. On the right, an angel, a rainbow, and a glowing light bulb symbolized independent thinking and the ethical use of AI. At the center, I placed a student sitting in front of a computer to encapsulate the internal conflict many students experience when deciding whether to create original work or lean on AI-generated content. Through this visual symbolism, I aimed to critique AI plagiarism as an unethical use of AI and encourage viewers to use AI responsibly.

To produce the poster, I used Microsoft Designer to engineer prompts and generated more than 100 images before selecting the strongest ones. I then refined the final design in Canva by adjusting the colors and layout to create a strong visual contrast between the two sides.

Through this project, I learned that creating effective AI-generated content takes far more than writing a single prompt. Careful research, iterative prompt engineering, critical evaluation, and thoughtful visual design are all essential to producing meaningful AI-generated artwork.
